This Privacy Policy explains what personal data RustBet ("we", "us") collects when you use the Site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Data we collect
- Steam account data: your Steam ID, username and avatar, received from Steam when you sign in.
- Trading data: the Steam trade URL you save, and records of your deposits, withdrawals and trade offers.
- Account and game data: your balance, inventory, game history, provably fair seeds, level and rewards.
- Email address: only if you choose to provide one.
- Chat messages you send in public chat.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device information, and server logs, collected automatically when you use the Site.
2. How we use it
- To run your account, process deposits and withdrawals, and operate the games.
- To verify game fairness and keep a history of your activity.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, multi-accounting and price manipulation, and to enforce our Terms.
- To moderate chat and keep the community safe.
- To keep the Site secure and improve it.
- To meet our legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with services needed to run the Site:
- Valve / Steam: for sign-in and trade offers.
- Item pricing providers: to value Steam items (no personal data is needed for this).
- Hosting and network providers: which host our servers and protect the Site (including Cloudflare).
- Analytics, if enabled, to understand how the Site is used.
- Authorities, when required by law.
Your username, avatar and public chat messages are visible to other users.
4. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to run the Site. If analytics is enabled, it may also set cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but the Site may not work properly without the necessary ones.
5. How long we keep it
- Public chat messages are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Account, transaction and game records are kept for as long as your account exists, and afterwards for as long as needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To make a request, contact us through the live chat on the site, where a member of our team will pick up your request. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before acting on a request.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, so please also keep your Steam account protected, for example with Steam Guard.
8. Children
The Site is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
